| BY ECHO REPORTER: Xenia Fong The varsity girls’ rugby team took fourth place in their APAC tournament at SAS Pudong from October 24 to 28. Other teams that competed in their APAC division were International School of Beijing, SAS Pudong, HKIS, and WAB. The team’s first game was against WAB, they won the game with a score of 40-5. In their second game, they competed against ISB. It was a tough game that ended in a loss with a score of 20-0. The next day, the team played HKIS, winning the game 21-12. |
They also challenged SAS Pudong, losing the game with a score of 5-22. On the last day, the rugby team played in the game for third and fourth place against HKIS. It was a close game, but the girls lost the game 7-12. “Our very last game was probably the most heart-filled we've ever played, it was just other teams played harder. We had some slip-ups, but our team mostly went through APAC head on and never stopped,” said junior co-captain Kiana Miller.

I’m very glad to have ended my senior year rugby with these girls. I’m excited for the upcoming basketball season and I hope it’ll be just as memorable.” said senior Dorothy Chow.
