BY ECHO REPORTER: Andy Lin Four players—sophomores Andrew Kao and David Kong, junior Alex Zhao, and senior Stone Yan—from the Shanghai American School Puxi tennis team played in the SISAC Tennis Champions tournament on October 13. The tournament was held at the British International School Shanghai Puxi and Waigaoqiao Rugby Club. SAS Puxi finished second overall. SAS Pudong ended up finishing first. The four players each had to play in round-robin matchups against all people in his group. |
Whoever finished the round-robin with the most wins advanced into the elimination rounds. Stone advanced to the elimination round for singles and ended up placing second. Zhao and Kong played in the elimination round but did not place as doubles.
Varsity captain senior Stone Yan said, “SISAC was fun, but we did not win. However, right now I am focused on APAC and hope that we will do better.”
