The first season sports have finally started, and the rugby boys are looking forward to a great season led by coaches Mr. Neil Gibson, high school PHE teacher, and Mr. David Dachpian, high school social studies teacher.
Since many experienced members of the team graduated and left the team, there are many new players on the team. As soon as the season started, the rugby boys had a home game against Shanghai Singapore International School on August 31. After defeating SSIS with a score of 25-10, senior Kevin Yoo said, “We did better than expected.”
The boys practice together with the varsity team and are slowly building their skills. Senior Maurice Chiu said, “Even though we have a lot of new players and may not be experienced and have a lot to learn, our team has shown great dedication and potential to become better players.”
